Nilgun Langenberg, Our Founder

Nilgun Langenberg, Founder & Managing Director of ida leadership, advices C-suite executives, so that they take better decisions and actions about their people and organization, ultimately performing better and transforming faster. 

She is valued for her business acumen, market insights, pragmatic recommendations, and keen ability to challenge leaders to face the realities, perceptions and choices of action. As a practitioner and as a consultant Nilgun has worked with boards, CEOs, CHROs and senior executives as they address complex leadership challenges for individual leaders, teams and the total organization. Her holistic, strategic and systematic thinking capacity coupled with her result focused, action-biased, business savvy approach makes her a unique partner.

Her 30 years of work experience spans across top-tier global firms where she managed businesses, teams and client relationships delivering leadership progression globally.

At Korn Ferry, she led the EMEA Consumer practice for all consulting solutions, including organization strategy, assessment & succession, talent acquisition, total rewards and leadership & professional development. She has been a Leadership Advisor, an Executive Search Consultant, an Executive Assessor and a Coach in Executive Leader Institute programs of Korn Ferry.

Previously, she served as Office Managing Director at Korn Ferry Istanbul. Prior to that, she was a Partner with Heidrick & Struggles based in Amsterdam. Earlier in her career, she worked as Global Head of Talent Development for Sara Lee where she developed and deployed talent strategies, processes and programs. The start of her career was with Xerox in sales, marketing and HR roles.

Nilgun is a CTI-trained executive coach and certified in a broad range of assessment and development tools. She has been a featured speaker addressing global audiences on subjects including Enterprise Leadership, Learning Agility, Leadership Succession, Talent Acquisition and DE&I.

She holds a degree in Business Administration from Bosphorus University of Istanbul, Turkey and an MBA degree from University of Ottawa, Canada. She is fluent in English and Turkish and conversational German and Dutch.

Nicole Heupers

Nicole partners with organizations to navigate the human side of change, focusing on leader development and supportive environments aligned with future ambitions. Over nearly 25 years, she has enabled global organizations to achieve long-term results by aligning strategy, structure, and mindset. Her expertise includes large-scale change, culture transformation, top-team alignment, and leadership development.

Her roles have included Senior Client Partner at Korn Ferry, Director of Leadership and Change at Schouten Global, European Change Manager at RWE and Senior Consultant of Leadership and Change at Rijnconsult and Deloitte.

A creative thinker and former athlete, Nicole inspires disruption by embracing a “to win vs. not to lose” mindset. 

She holds a Master’s in Organizational Behaviour and a Bachelor’s in Public Administration, and is fluent in Dutch and English.

Deniz Ergene

Deniz is a Leadership Consultant with 25+ years of experience in “human capital” related topics. Her particular expertise is in helping organisations drive performance and address untapped potential through alignment of top leadership behaviours via executive assessment, leadership development, executive coaching, leadership (competency and success profile) modelling and succession management efforts.

Prior to establishing her consulting practice in 2018, Deniz led the establishment of the “Leadership and Talent Consulting” Practice of Korn Ferry in Turkey and co-led the People Advisory Practice, following a distinguished executive search career with a focus to the consumer products, life sciences and professional services fields.

Deniz has completed her coaching training at the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) in the UK and her executive coaching advanced skills training at the Centre for Executing Coaching; she is a Coach Member of the ICF. She is a trained facilitator and moderator. She operates internationally and is fluent in English and Turkish.

Catherine Dolmans

Catherine brings HR expertise, commercial acumen and a successful track record of 30+ years as a practitioner in the areas of transformation, culture change, talent and top team effectiveness and development.

Before becoming a consultant in 2024, Catherine held the role of Chief Inclusion & Diversity Officer and SVP Talent for CRH, the world’s biggest building materials group, a global $65 bn company with over 80,000 employees operating in 28 countries. Prior to CRH, she held senior HR, Transformation & Marketing positions within three other large global companies – Akzo Nobel (Paints & Coating), JDE Peets and Sara Lee (Consumer Products).

Catherine brings deep expertise and passion to the topics of talent management, talent development and top team succession planning. She is a certified Meta Teams coach and has facilitated many executive teams in their journey to high performance.

Clémentine’s passion lies at the intersection between business strategy and human behavior. She is interested in the people who compose and drive an organization forward.

Matt Crosby

Matt is passionate about his clients’ performance. He has consulted with a range of UK and Global businesses and organisations, in the private and public sectors, and in a range of settings: PE backed, MD&A, plc and limited, for over 25 years. He has supported clients to create a new / refreshed strategic ambition and performance through business design (business and operating model) and changes in ways of working, across culture, process and technology. He has led several transformation programmes.

Brigitte Morel-Curran

A strategy and management consultant, Brigitte has a 30+ year career in professional services working with global organizations on implementing large transformation programs and elevating leadership. She is a recognized expert in executive assessment and development, designing and facilitating the growth journeys of senior executives, CEO succession planning, and team effectiveness at senior management levels.

Most recently, she was the Korn Ferry Chief Executive Institute® leader for EMEA and APAC. Other key roles during her 15-year tenure at Korn Ferry included leading the Global Consumer Consulting Practice and managing the P&L for the Consulting division in EMEA. She joined Korn Ferry from Capgemini (and Ernst & Young before the merger) where she was a VP in charge of the North America People and Organization Practice and a member of the executive committee for NA.

Earlier in her career, she was a successful entrepreneur, founder of a technology market research business which she sold to Dun & Bradstreet; she became the president of Dataquest Computer Europe. She then moved to Oxford Consulting as the managing director Europe. Fluent in French and English, she speaks conversational German.​

The “ida” story

The name ” ida”  is inspired by geography and history.

In Greek mythology, Zeus, the king of the Gods, was born on Mount Ida on the island of Crete. Some traditions refer to Ida also as one of the two nurses who protected and raised Zeus.

Overall, Mount Ida is a multifaceted symbol in mythology, representing themes of divine birth, protection, and the interplay between gods and mortals.
